Doobu started out as a place for street wear enthusiasts to express themselves. But what really started it all was when two individuals with their respective mindsets met.

This isn't a story about entrepreneurship, this is a story about friendship and differences.

Let's call myself Dooburilla. I was never a fan of street wear fashion as it appeared just a little too loud for me. My taste in clothing was always the minimalist and classy looking pieces.

You guessed it, B always adored clothing that were adorned with funky and loud designs.

In 2014, 2 individuals had an idea to create a space where fashion enthusiast can interact and to express ourselves as designers. However, the differences in our taste in fashion led us to go on our separate ways to prove that one was better than the other.

 

2 years flew by quickly and one day, I received a call from B to have coffee together. We caught up on each other life and knew that even though we were apart, our friendship was never broken.

And I am glad.

Today, we embrace each other differences and that's when Doobu was born where we hope to deliver a clothing line that can be minimalist as well as funky at the same time. It was not only a brand, it was significant to us - the symbol of our friendship and the acceptance of the differences between us.
